MHANA Authentic Aleppo Soap Bar

I’ve been really happy with this olive oil soap. It creates a nice lather, cleans well without leaving my skin feeling dry, and has a pleasant, natural scent that’s not overpowering. I like that it can be used for the face, body, and even hair, making it very versatile. Overall, it’s a great product that delivers exactly what it promises. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional olive oil soap.

On opening the box you’re greeted with a giant, brownish lump, that reminds you of school soap from the 70s and 80s. The smell isn’t too far off that either, which isn’t unpleasant, just sort of clean and unperfumed. I do prefer this lighter smelling soap over highly fragranced options, as I can use my own fragranced toiletries, if I want.In use, it’s a bit strange, as it is so large cuboid, that it can’t be spun around in the palms of your hands to get a good lather. It’s best to hold it in one hand and use the other to work up a lather, however, in my hard-water area, it takes a lot of work to get the suds up.As for its cleaning ability, it seems fine; I don’t really have hair to wash, so I can’t comment on that, however, I feel clean after showering with this. My skin did feel a little tight after use, so I don’t know if it’s stripping oils and moisture, but I can’t detect any long lasting dryness.It is a huge block of soap and doesn’t show much sign of wearing down, so it ought to last a long while. If it does last as long as I hope, it ought to be very good value for money.

This Aleppo soap bar is good and feels very natural. The olive and laurel oil make it feel gentle on skin and not too harsh. It cleans well but doesnt dry the skin out much which is nice. Smell is mild and earthy. Overall happy with it and feels like a proper traditional soap.
